Job Title: Marketing and Communications Specialist

Job Summary:

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and branding strategies to enhance the organization's reputation and visibility. This will include creating and disseminating marketing materials, managing social media, and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement marketing and branding strategies to support the organization's mission and goals.
  • Create and disseminate marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and social media content.
  • Manage social media accounts and develop a social media strategy to engage with key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, community organizations, and media outlets.
  • Assist with event planning and execution, including conferences, seminars, and other marketing events.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a non-profit or government setting.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns.
  • Strong social media skills, with experience in managing social media accounts and developing social media strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including business leaders, community organizations, and media outlets.
  • Basic knowledge of economic development and tech startups is a plus.
