Career Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Career Services Specialist to join our team at the Office for Career Development. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing career coaching support and developing professional development workshops for undergraduate students.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide career enrichment support for undergraduate students, including career exploration, internship, and job search strategies, as well as navigating the graduate/professional school application process.
  • Design and implement workshops and events in collaboration with the Director, including monthly workshop and event offerings, and collaborating with departments to provide professional development programming.
  • Manage all aspects of the College of Health and Human Development Alumni Mentoring Program, including student and alumni mentor recruitment, development of marketing materials, and ongoing communication with participants.
  • Foster strategic relationships with recruiters and employers, collaborating with employers to identify opportunities to connect with current HHD student organizations, participate in career fairs, and develop a presence via information sessions and/or workshops.
Requirements:
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree plus one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, alumni, and employers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $46,300.00 to $67,300.00, depending on experience.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
  • Generous vacation time (24 days per year) and sick time (12 days a year).
