  • Ability to prepare a construction handoff package post-award and address field inquiries regarding takeoff, subcontractor, and vendor pricing, as well as strategies for cost estimation.
  • Familiarity with HCSS or B2W software is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Education and Experience:
This position is not typically entry-level; it necessitates demonstrable prior experience as an Estimator. A four-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required. Candidates must be able to comprehend work directives and communicate effectively with management and colleagues. Experience in estimating grading, utilities, and demolition for a Heavy Civil Contractor is mandatory. Typical projects include site development, industrial, commercial development, utilities, mining reclamation, overburden removal, demolition, and general site work. A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.

Physical Requirements:

The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an Estimator to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


  • Regularly required to sit and/or stand during a standard work shift of at least eight hours per day.
  • Occasional requirements to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.
  • Ability to frequently lift at least 50 lbs. and carry up to 15 lbs.
