Job Summary

This role involves performing medical record reviews to assess provider documentation and ensure patient severity of illness and health acuity are accurately reflected. The successful candidate will promote a culture of continual survey readiness, provide coaching and training to support accurate documentation, and contribute to performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform prospective, concurrent, and retrospective review of various types of patient medical records from multiple settings.
  • Promote a culture of continual survey readiness and act as a resource for staff and partners in performance improvements.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and guidance in documentation to support accurate severity of illness, expected risk of mortality, and complexity of care for the patient.
  • Support TJC Chapter Leaders in assessing performance for continuous survey readiness.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets, including pivot tables, graphing, and basic statistics; knowledge of PowerPoint; knowledge of Quality Improvement methodology and team facilitation.
  • Administrative skills: ability to type correspondence using excellent communication and grammar; ability to understand and present data in a usable format.

Estimated Salary Range:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
