We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to fill the position of Behavioral Health Quality Specialist RN at Research Medical Center. This role is an exciting opportunity for a nurse to contribute to the improvement of patient care and outcomes in our behavioral health department.

Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Quality Specialist RN will be responsible for performing medical record reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient documentation. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with healthcare providers and staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform prospective, concurrent, and retrospective review of patient medical records from various settings.
  • Promote a culture of continual survey readiness and support staff in performance improvements.
  • Provide coaching, training, and guidance on documentation to ensure accurate severity of illness and expected risk of mortality.
  • Support TJC Chapter Leaders in assessing performance for continuous survey readiness.
  • Coordinate mortality reviews completion by reviewing charts, aggregating results, and tracking trends for performance improvement.
  • Support Pathways to Excellence and improvements to nursing-sensitive indicators through the NDNQI database.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A current RN license
  • An Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and Quality Improvement methodology
  • Administrative skills, including excellent communication and grammar
Compensation Package
