Job Description:

As a Behavioral Specialist at Sherwood Autism Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct instruction and support to clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Implementing individualized behavior plans and strategies to promote skill acquisition and behavior reduction
  • Facilitating community-based activities and on-site programs to enhance social and functional skills
  • Maintaining accurate records of client progress and data collection
  • Collaborating with BCBA-certified staff and teaching professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Fostering a positive and supportive team environment

Requirements:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Have 60+ college credit hours or passing score on DESE-approved proficiency examination for paraprofessionals
  • Prior experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities is preferred
  • Eligibility for MO Highway Patrol Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Able to pass physical fitness assessment and obtain Level 1 Medication Aid certification within 6 months of employment
