Position Overview

We are looking for a proficient Laboratory Systems Engineer to join our organization and deliver technical support and operational expertise within our secure computer laboratory setting. The Laboratory Systems Engineer will be instrumental in maintaining the performance, optimization, and security of critical mission systems and equipment to fulfill organizational and governmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Setup and Management: Configure, install, and oversee hardware and software systems within the secure laboratory environment.
  • Technical Assistance: Offer technical support for laboratory operations, including diagnosing hardware and software problems, executing system upgrades, and ensuring the operational integrity of equipment.
  • Evaluation and Testing: Perform testing, assessment, and validation of new hardware and software solutions in line with project specifications and requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive documentation of laboratory configurations, procedures, test outcomes, and equipment inventory to facilitate operational activities and compliance audits.
  • Quality Control: Engage in quality control processes to guarantee the reliability, performance, and security of systems and services.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in laboratory engineering, systems administration, or similar technical roles.
  • Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting hardware components, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Possession of TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Compliance with certification requirements as per DoD M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Compensation Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
