Position Overview

The role of the Front Desk Representative is crucial in ensuring a positive experience for our guests. This position requires a commitment to excellence and a friendly demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work part-time during evenings and weekends to accommodate guest needs.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to liaise with various departments effectively.
  • Support team members with tasks such as operating the courtesy van and assisting with breakfast and housekeeping duties.
  • Address guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Implement guest satisfaction initiatives to ensure a memorable stay.
  • Greet guests warmly at the front desk and in public areas, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Keep track of room status and inventory accurately.
Compensation:

Hourly wage of $12.85.

Additional Duties:
  • Manage guest registrations, including payment processing and financial transactions.
  • Prepare shift reports and handle credit card transactions in line with company protocols.
  • Assist with guest reservations via phone, following established procedures.
  • Respond to inquiries about hotel services, local attractions, and directions.
  • Handle incoming calls, faxes, and mail efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lobby and front desk area.
  • Restock the mini-market as required.
  • Assist with filing and tracking work orders.
  • Perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.
  • Document and store lost-and-found items according to hotel policy.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in the service industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in common Windows-based applications is essential.
