WURD Radio is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Account Executive to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for securing advertising sales and sponsorships that align with the station's programming and financial objectives. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a dedication to providing professional and quality service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals and projections.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to generate revenue through advertising and event sponsorships.
  • Create and implement client presentations and client services, including remote broadcasts and event management.
  • Develop new business initiatives to expand existing client spending and attract new accounts.
  • Collaborate with Executive Management to develop strategic partnerships and selling relationships with outside organizations.
  • Attend regular meetings as outlined by Management.
  • Provide written reports on sales activity and other additional reports as requested.
  • Work with Programming to ensure client compliance with station standards relating to client on-air activity.
  • Consistent accuracy in all sales contracts and trafficking instructions.
  • Collect and turn in all monies from assigned accounts.
  • Assist in creating PR and Marketing Programs to enhance the image and expand the audience of WURD Radio as requested by management.
  • Team Player who understands and embraces company initiatives and budget goals.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years prior experience in Direct and Corporate level business Sales/Marketing.
  • Prior experience in Broadcast/Sales/Marketing and media related fields is a plus.
  • Results-oriented and committed to creating new business opportunities.
  • Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills with great follow-up.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable automobile, and automobile insurance.
