Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Subcontract Management Team Engineer/Principal Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman in Roy, UT. This role will support the GBSD program and involve managing subcontractors, coordinating with internal teams, and driving engineering execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Develop and implement effective subcontract management strategies to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and program management, to identify and resolve technical challenges.
  • Lead and participate in technical discussions, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring open communication and effective issue resolution.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) with 2 years of experience or Master's degree with 0 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Ability to understand engineering challenges, coordinate with NG Engineering team in identifying paths for resolution, and driving engineering execution.
  • Ability to take complex technical challenges and decomposing the information into chart packages to brief to program management & leadership team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with subcontractors on DoD programs.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft suite of tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Experience with engineering, manufacturing, and development life cycle.
  • Experience with cost-plus DoD contracts.
  • CAM or Earn Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
  • Experience with CAMEO/Model Based Systems Engineering, DOORs, or CPLM systems.
