Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Process Engineer to join our CMP Manufacturing Engineering organization at GlobalFoundries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and modifying process formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance equipment performance and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver organizational goals and objectives
  • Lead projects independently and deliver on committed dates for closure
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for related processes
  • Qualify processes on owned toolsets to meet product development requirements
  • Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Plans (CIPs) to improve process performance, cost, throughput, and yield
Requirements
  • BS degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, Chemical, or other relevant engineering physical science discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of semiconductor process engineering experience
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal, and external partners
  • Fluency in English Language - written & verbal
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of semiconductor/silicon processing
  • Understanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Prior experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom environment
  • Prior experience working as an engineer in semiconductor manufacturing
What We Offer

GlobalFoundries offers a competitive salary range of $77,000.00 - $142,000.00, depending on qualifications, experience, and location. The exact salary will be determined based on the successful completion of pre-employment conditions and subject to applicable laws and regulations.
