Position Overview

The Component Relations Manager (CRM) is essential in fostering and sustaining positive interactions with our member divisions, branches, and regions. This role serves as the primary contact for 19 chartered divisions, 56 chartered branches, and 4 regions, collaborating closely with various departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the staff liaison to 19 chartered divisions, 4 regions, and 56 chartered branches, including the preparation of agendas, reports, and meeting summaries in conjunction with the Director of Membership.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance operational relationships, build trust, and advance key initiatives, while staying informed of member challenges and identifying component needs.
  • Provide management support, including resources and leadership development, to ensure effective communication and exceptional service to component leadership.
  • Design, update, and implement tools to assist components in managing their operational activities efficiently.
  • Collaborate with components on programming plans to align with the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Moderate community knowledge-sharing platforms and adapt to new digital tools to enhance participation.
  • Implement ongoing systems and processes to support membership development and engagement programs.
  • Communicate important updates and reminders through a structured monthly communication plan.
  • Ensure accurate representation of component leadership in membership systems and provide regular outreach with necessary information.
  • Participate in the development of the annual components budget and assist in coordinating related events.
  • Engage with various departments to involve them in component activities.
  • Generate reports to update the Director of Membership on progress and status.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in component relations with a proven track record as a Client Relationship Manager.
  • Commitment to the mission of the organization and a desire to positively impact the membership community.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Aptitude for building positive relationships and strong collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to prioritize and problem-solve effectively.
  • Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office Suite and membership management systems.

Work Environment

This position allows for a hybrid work arrangement, requiring residency within the designated metropolitan area.
