About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Assistant to join our team at Dropoff. This contract-to-hire position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to take their career to the next level.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring service quality and compliance with state and national regulations within our driver and vehicle fleet. This includes developing and implementing fleet management strategies to optimize vehicle utilization and maintenance, as well as coordinating vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules.

Additionally, the Fleet Assistant will manage fleet inventory, including procurement and disposal of vehicles to enhance fleet operations. They will also ensure compliance with regulations regarding fleet operations, monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, and overall fleet performance, and develop cost-saving strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing fleet management strategies to optimize vehicle utilization and maintenance
  • Coordinating vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules
  • Managing fleet inventory, including procurement and disposal of vehicles
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations regarding fleet operations
  • Monitoring fuel usage, maintenance costs, and overall fleet performance
  • Developing cost-saving strategies

Requirements include:

  • Demonstrated familiarity with up-to-date technologies and software programs to achieve greater productivity
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to react quickly in a dynamic environment
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
