APPLICATION PROCESS:

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Nighttime Security Specialist is tasked with safeguarding the Delta Center, a venue for various events such as sports games and concerts. This role requires a thorough understanding of all security systems within the facility, applying this expertise to maintain safety and security during operational hours. Shift hours are from midnight to 8 AM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct regular patrols to ensure the premises are secure and safe.
  • Document daily activities and any irregularities, including property damage, theft, unauthorized individuals, or unusual incidents.
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Monitor and adjust controls for building systems, including HVAC and other utilities.
  • Handle telephone inquiries, providing information and assistance during off-hours.
  • Assist with parking for VIPs and event staff.
  • Manage crowd flow during events.
  • Provide assistance to guests in emergencies, including medical situations or evacuations.
  • Support guests with special needs.
  • Monitor safety and security conditions throughout the venue.
  • Enforce safety and security policies within the arena.
  • Complete all required training successfully.
  • Respect the property of guests and employees during security checks.
  • Engage proactively and positively with guests and staff.
  • Ensure all individuals are informed of safety policies relevant to the Delta Center.
  • May be required to operate a company vehicle for transportation to practice facilities.
  • Contribute to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Promote a welcoming environment for guests and team members.
  • Focus on creating memorable experiences for all attendees.
  • Prioritize safety for employees, teams, and guests.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Comfortable conducting respectful searches of bags and individuals.
  • Ability to handle objections with a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Capable of following both verbal and written instructions.
  • Valid Driver's License is preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional appearance as per management standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Frequent climbing of stairs and moving items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and reach.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
  • Most duties performed indoors; some may occur outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Must be able to observe and assess situations accurately.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
