POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Nighttime Security Officer is tasked with safeguarding the Delta Center, a venue that hosts a diverse range of events, including sports and concerts. This role requires a thorough understanding of all security systems within the facility, applying this expertise to uphold security protocols and ensure the safe operation of the arena during the night shift, which runs from midnight to 8 AM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct regular patrols to verify the security and safety of the premises.
  • Document daily activities and any irregularities, including property damage, theft, or unauthorized individuals.
  • Respond to alarms and investigate any disturbances.
  • Oversee and adjust controls for building systems, such as HVAC and boilers.
  • Handle phone inquiries, providing information and assistance during off-hours.
  • Facilitate parking for VIPs and event staff.
  • Manage crowd flow during events.
  • Assist guests in emergencies, including medical situations or evacuations.
  • Support guests with special needs.
  • Monitor safety and security conditions throughout the venue.
  • Enforce safety and security regulations.
  • Complete all required training successfully.
  • Respect the property of guests and employees during screenings.
  • Engage proactively and courteously with guests and staff.
  • Ensure that all individuals are informed of Delta Center's safety policies.
  • May be required to operate a company vehicle to various locations.
  • Contribute to fostering a diverse culture that enhances the lives of employees and the community.
  • Promote an inclusive environment where all guests and team members feel valued.
  • Create memorable experiences for guests.
  • Prioritize safety for all employees and guests.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Comfortable with respectful and efficient bag and body searches.

  • Capable of following both verbal and written instructions.
  • Valid Driver's License is preferred.
  • Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional appearance as outlined by management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Frequent climbing of stairs and moving of materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and reach.
  • Vision capabilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Most duties are performed indoors; some may occur outdoors under varying conditions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Ability to observe and assess situations accurately.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
