Overview: The Nighttime Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of all public spaces within the hotel. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests and requires a friendly and honest demeanor. The attendant will address guest inquiries and concerns while upholding the security and confidentiality of all public areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to established cleaning standards for public areas.
  2. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents for various surfaces in compliance with safety regulations.
  3. Prioritize cleaning tasks based on area requirements.
  4. Safely transport cleaning supplies and equipment to designated locations.
  5. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively.
  6. Maintain cleanliness in offices, hallways, and restrooms.
  7. Ensure dining areas and banquet facilities are clean and presentable.
  8. Polish and maintain furniture and fixtures.
  9. Vacuum and clean elevator interiors.
  10. Keep the exterior of the hotel free from litter.
  11. Thoroughly clean carpets and upholstered furniture using appropriate equipment.
  12. Wash walls and ceilings, rearranging furniture as necessary.
  13. Perform floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
  14. Dust and polish metal fixtures and surfaces.
  15. Conduct inspections of furniture for damage and report findings.
  16. Maintain the security of public areas and manage lost and found items.
  17. Stay informed about hotel emergency procedures.
  18. Adapt to changing cleaning duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Physical stamina and mobility are essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
  • Professional attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods (up to 9 hours).
  • Strong work ethic with a focus on accuracy and courtesy.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Integrity and honesty in all dealings.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and time off.
