The Operations Research Analyst III role at KMS Solutions presents a unique opportunity to engage in a vibrant environment that prioritizes the support of essential systems engineering, cybersecurity, safety, and readiness initiatives for various governmental entities.

SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE:

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA) is involved in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Safety, Test and Evaluation, and Readiness operations for designated systems, which encompass hardware, software, and subsystems. These functions are vital for the U.S. Navy and other Department of Defense stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather and assess data to analyze operations and processes for informed decision-making.
  • Utilize modeling and evaluation techniques to improve operational effectiveness and devise solutions.
  • Conduct tests and validate models and outcomes for precision.
  • Draft reports that outline proposed solutions and alternatives.
  • Contribute to complex project components both independently and in collaboration with others.

Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related discipline is required.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in operational analysis is essential.
  • Proven experience in evaluating business processes and workflows utilizing industry-standard methodologies.

Candidates must possess and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

This role primarily functions in a professional office setting on a hybrid schedule, utilizing standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Work Hours:

The typical workday consists of eight hours with flexibility. The employee must be available during core hours and maintain full-time status.

Telecommuting:
