Position Overview

The Maintenance Operations Supervisor oversees the daily functions of the Maintenance Department and its personnel. This includes managing responses to all urgent maintenance tasks, planning future work schedules, and ensuring timely completion of current assignments. This role also involves directing technicians and allocating their tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in best practices through Management System initiatives, including ISO and KORE Standards.
  • Support Key Performance Indicators as defined by local leadership and Maintenance System Requirements.
  • Facilitate ongoing technical training to enhance customer service, asset reliability, and minimize unscheduled downtime.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement Processes and Root Cause Analysis to enhance asset reliability and maintain a proactive maintenance environment.
  • Oversee both scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks through direct reports.
  • Provide technical, safety, and system training while leading in technical competencies and maintenance planning.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management Team on contractor management policies.
  • Support all Quality and Food Safety initiatives.
  • Manage smaller in-house and capital projects, considering their financial implications.
  • Lead and motivate a team to achieve results by communicating organizational goals and safety practices.
  • Develop team members through effective performance management and coaching.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers, PLC Networking, Hydraulics, Electrical Systems, and Beverage Equipment Operations.
  • Ability to manage projects effectively, considering financial impacts.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational demands.
  • Ability to work in elevated noise environments requiring hearing protection.
  • Willingness to perform outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years of post-secondary education in a technical field.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or up to 3 years of technical education.
  • 5 years of experience in Food Processing, Beverage, Dairy, or Brewing Industries.
  • Experience in a Proactive Maintenance System environment is advantageous.
  • Possession of a 2-year degree in a technical discipline.
  • Trade schooling is preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
Work Environment
  • 25% office setting.
