About the Role

Elmington Property Management is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the entire maintenance process for our properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including ordering supplies, diagnosing maintenance problems, and performing service requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service Focus: Provide exceptional customer service to residents and coworkers, even in difficult situations.
  • Workforce Management: Supervise the workflow for the service staff and delegate workload to staff effectively.
  • Budget Management: Meet and exceed budget expectations for expenditures.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies, materials, and tools as needed to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Technical Skills: Diagnose problems and repair major appliances, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry.
  • Landscaping and Snow Removal: Address issues with landscaping and snow/ice removal.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers to resolve issues promptly.
  • Service Request Management: Perform service requests correctly and promptly.
  • Technical Proficiency: Operate computers and other technological devices to access email and company-utilized software.
  • Leadership: Proven leader, forward thinker, innovative, and driven, with a strong ability to execute Elmington's non-negotiables for service work orders and vacant turn times.
The Essentials
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of property maintenance and/or maintenance experience.
  • Certification: HVAC certification preferred.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills.
  • Maintenance: Maintain the physical condition of the property.
  • Tool Proficiency: Utilize hand tools and power tools.
  • Building Maintenance: Perform building maintenance and repairs.
  • Flexibility: Respond to issues outside of normal work schedule when required.
  • Timekeeping: Accurately report all time worked by clocking in before beginning to work and out only when done working.
  • Company Policies: Follow all company policies and procedures.
