Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team at Saige Partners. As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the Quality Management System of Texas, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, including ISO 9001 and ASTM. This position will coordinate internal/external audits, Management Reviews, and develop/maintain quality-related policy/documentation as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate internal/external audits and Management Reviews
  • Develop and maintain quality-related policy/documentation
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ASTM standards
  • Manage activities required to obtain and maintain third-party quality certifications and/or customer qualifications
  • Review customer or supplier material claims and initiate corrective actions
  • Manage the Corrective and Preventative Action Request (CPAR) program
  • Maintain quality statistical records and/or charts on facility performance
  • Oversee calibration of all measuring equipment used in production and the testing laboratory
  • Coordinate regular quality meetings and internal audits
Requirements
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and ASTM standards
  • Ability to read, interpret, and generate quality procedures and documents
  • Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer skills and good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to establish and prioritize required work assignments
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Applied technology experience with cutting and milling equipment
  • Previous experience in the steel industry
  • Lead Auditor Training
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The employee will frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, and use both hands for grasping, handling, gripping, and feeling textures and temperatures. The employee will occasionally be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb. The position requires the following vision and hearing capabilities: vision at near, mid, and far range, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Talking and hearing in person, on a radio, and/or in group settings are also required.

The employee will be required to use the following machines or tools: desktop computer, hand tools, floor-mounted jib crane, propane or electric forklift, HAAS Machining Center, electric band saws, and miscellaneous testing equipment. The employee will work in the following conditions: around equipment in motion, amid noise, while wearing personal protective/safety equipment to prevent injury from noise and environmental hazards, and around moving trucks and industrial mobile equipment.
