Currently, we are in search of a Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist, and a brief overview of the role is outlined below.

Role Overview:

The Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist will leverage a solid grounding in accounting principles to employ Excel, Sage Intacct, Power BI, and other relevant tools to assess the company's financial and operational performance. This role includes developing financial and operational dashboards, creating ad-hoc reports, and contributing to both short-term and long-term strategic planning for the organization.

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports under tight deadlines.
- Lead the analysis of budget versus actual performance on a monthly basis.

- Collaborate with Regional Directors regularly to discuss budget variances, update rolling forecasts, and address ad-hoc reporting requirements.

- Utilize feedback from Regional Directors to work with the Controller to enhance the accuracy of monthly financial statements.
- Review inventory and prepaid accounts concerning product cost for the reporting period as necessary.
- Provide standard weekly reports to investors and Board stakeholders.
- Actively engage in the annual budgeting process.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial modeling and analyses as required (e.g., margin analysis, volume/rate assessments, sensitivity analysis, payroll/headcount evaluations, fleet asset reviews, etc.).
- Depending on experience and qualifications, assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Support the maintenance of the company's accounting and ERP systems.
- Safeguard operations by maintaining confidentiality of financial information and plans.
- Travel to various regions to support branches; regional travel is less than 10%, which may include overnight stays.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education, Licensure, and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or Finance with substantial accounting exposure)
- 5+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting

- Excellent time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Comprehensive understanding of financial statement content, structure, and interrelationships
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to clearly present analytical findings
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexible hours during reporting and budgeting cycles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and CoPilot), with a strong emphasis on Excel (including but not limited to: Pivot tables, V/H/X Lookups, nested "IF" functions often combined with AND/OR syntax, conditional formatting, data validation)
- Experience with Sage Intacct preferred
- Experience in a multi-entity environment preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI is a plus.

General Office Environment:
The noise level in the office environment is generally quiet.

Outdoor Service Environment:
The position may involve exposure to various work conditions at different client settings. Indoor conditions may include dust, heat, cold, noise, etc.

Outdoor conditions may involve exposure to seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions, and hot conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Physical Requirements:

If performing office duties: The employee is required to sit, stand, hear, and use hands to operate all office equipment.

The employee must view computer monitors for extended periods. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may occasionally be required to lift up to 25 pounds.

At client locations:

While performing the duties of the position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb, bend, kneel, reach with hands and arms, crouch, crawl, twist, push/pull, and lift/carry regularly up to 15 lbs. throughout the day, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Hand, eye, and foot coordination is essential.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The ability to swim is necessary as this position may involve working near swimming pools.
