Position Overview:
The Senior Analyst in Corporate Finance is accountable for generating financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders, along with providing analytical insights. This role involves researching and documenting accounting and financial reporting standards, utilizing all available resources, and advising on the appropriate accounting treatment for intricate transactions based on this research. A portion of the role will also encompass general corporate accounting duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation of financial statements for both internal and external reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Serve as the primary user of Wdesk, the software utilized for compiling and filing financial statements.
- Organize, analyze, and maintain supporting documentation and schedules for external financial reporting in a manner that facilitates timely audits.
- Research and monitor applicable GAAP to ensure prompt identification and adherence to evolving accounting standards, providing clear interpretations and documentation of issues.
- Play a pivotal role in supporting the annual audit and quarterly review processes with external auditors.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control standards and manage the quarterly certification process.
- Conduct various high-level analytical assessments of account fluctuations and document findings.
- Continuously evaluate, recommend, and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and productivity.
- Support the execution of special projects, including but not limited to new ERP systems and acquisitions.
- Engage in additional projects as they arise.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Active CPA license is mandatory.
- Preferred advanced certifications or degrees: MBA, MAcc, etc.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting or a related field.
- Experience with Big 4 audit firms is preferred.
- Required experience with SEC/public company financial reporting.

- Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities requiring collaboration across all organizational levels.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Willingness to engage in diverse projects as they emerge.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and/or Hyperion Essbase is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Wdesk/Workiva is a plus.
