Position Overview:
The Senior Analyst is accountable for generating financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive analytical insights are provided. This role involves researching and documenting accounting and financial reporting standards, utilizing all available resources to recommend appropriate accounting treatments for intricate transactions. A portion of the role will also encompass general corporate accounting duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation of financial statements for compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy for both internal and external reporting.
- Serve as the primary expert for Wdesk, the software utilized for compiling and filing financial statements.
- Gather, analyze, and organize supporting documentation and schedules for external financial reporting, facilitating efficient audit reviews.
- Continuously monitor and interpret applicable GAAP to ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards, documenting findings in a clear and logical manner.
- Contribute significantly to the annual audit and quarterly review processes with external auditors.
- Assist in maintaining adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley internal control standards and manage the quarterly certification process.
- Conduct high-level analytical assessments of account fluctuations and document the outcomes.
- Proactively identify, recommend, and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and productivity.
- Support the execution of special projects, including ERP system implementations and corporate acquisitions or divestitures.
- Engage in additional projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Active CPA license is mandatory.
- Preferred advanced certifications or degrees: MBA, MAcc, etc.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting or a related field.
- Experience with Big 4 audit firms is preferred.
- Experience in SEC/public company financial reporting is essential.

- Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities requiring collaboration across various organizational levels.
- Self-motivated, organized, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Willingness to engage in diverse projects as they arise.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management and/or Hyperion Essbase is advantageous.
- Experience with Wdesk/Workiva is a plus.
