Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate of Grants Development and Administration to join our team. This role will play a critical part in maintaining and increasing government funding, broadening support from foundation funders, and enhancing our operating programs' ability to fundraise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Center staff to draft and edit proposals and progress reports, ensuring timely submission and adherence to grant requirements.
  • Research and identify government and private funding opportunities, aligning with the Center's priorities and goals.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and related narratives for funding proposals and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with project staff and potential funders, fostering strong partnerships and communication.
  • Provide administrative support to the department, including maintaining the Salesforce fundraising and grants database and assisting with revenue contract execution.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of work experience in a related field. Excellent written and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously are also required. Familiarity with Salesforce and online fundraising systems is a plus.

What We Offer

The Center for Justice Innovation offers a competitive salary range of $52,000 - $60,000, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes comprehensive healthcare, free basic dental coverage, vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and flexible spending accounts. We prioritize mental health care for our staff and offer services like Talkspace and Ginger through our healthcare plans. We also offer a 403(b) retirement plan with a two-to-one employer contribution up to 5%.
