Position Overview

The Senior Project Management Consultant will join ENGIE's Central Capital Projects Team. This role is pivotal in orchestrating the planning, development, and execution of significant capital enhancement initiatives concerning utility infrastructure systems. These systems include the generation and distribution of chilled water, heating hot water, steam, as well as electricity and natural gas networks. The Consultant will bear comprehensive responsibility, risk management, and accountability for large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the project team, which includes both internal personnel and external consultants, ensuring the timely and budget-compliant delivery of substantial industrial projects while maintaining health, safety, environmental, and public relations standards.
  • Lead construction contractors, qualified equipment vendors, suppliers, and design/engineering firms to guarantee the successful realization of projects, while managing design and construction contracts for heating and cooling distribution replacements and in-building equipment retrofits.
  • Enhance ENGIE's project management and reporting methodologies throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate design, construction, and commissioning activities with relevant ENGIE and university personnel.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budget forecasts, resource allocations, risk assessments, and other project components, adapting to evolving business and project conditions.
  • Develop and present alternative solutions to challenges, recommending actions to uphold project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Evaluate project performance using KPIs for engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and start-up, providing monthly reports that identify variances and implement corrective measures to meet project goals.
  • Recruit consultants, external contractors, and internal staff to effectively complete projects, delivering regular updates to management and summary reports to stakeholders.
  • Foster and maintain productive relationships with all relevant state, local, and university entities.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree that provides a solid foundation in Project Management principles, business communication, and effective leadership.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrable experience in managing large-scale campus utility infrastructure projects or comparable industrial construction initiatives.
  • Expertise in the financial and contractual dimensions of capital projects, alongside technical and organizational frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in multitasking and employing problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to navigate project risks.
  • Familiarity with contemporary project management tools such as Project, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar platforms.
  • A PMP certification or a commitment to obtaining one.

Additional Information
  • Availability for domestic travel up to 10% of the time, including occasional overnight trips.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record, as usage of company vehicles is required.
  • Willingness to adhere to all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
  • This role involves approximately 30% outdoor work, exposing the employee to various weather conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $128,000 - $198,765.00 USD annually.

This range reflects the average expected pay for a qualified candidate. Actual salary may vary based on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, and internal pay alignment.

In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus structure.
