POSITION OVERVIEW

The HR Generalist plays a crucial role in fulfilling our commitment to our guests. This position is responsible for managing daily HR operations and supporting the entire employee lifecycle. The HR Generalist will collaborate with the Regional Director of Human Resources on key initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and driving business performance while fostering the Legends organizational culture. This role encompasses various HR generalist responsibilities, including but not limited to high-volume recruitment, training, performance management, onboarding, and employee relations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with management to ensure effective implementation of HR strategies, processes, and practices.
  • Maintain optimal staffing levels to ensure operational success.
  • Provide insightful coaching and feedback to employees at all levels, addressing diverse employee-related issues and business needs.
  • Collaborate with employees and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze employee engagement and turnover data, and offer recommendations to the Regional HR Director.
  • Provide HR support during both event and non-event days as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all governmental and labor reporting requirements.
  • Assist in preparing necessary documentation for compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Lead employee relations initiatives, including organizing and executing investigations into policy and legal violations and addressing general employee concerns.
  • Support the processing of workers' compensation claims, leaves of absence, and benefits administration.
  • Develop and facilitate talent development materials and initiatives.
  • Exhibit a keen interest in operational knowledge specific to the company and venue to enhance HR business partnership.
  • Demonstrate leadership and sound judgment in making HR-related business decisions.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle process throughout the assigned region.
QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related business field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in human resources.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including workers' compensation, workplace safety, EEOC, NLRB, and FLSA.
  • Proficient computer skills, including hands-on experience with HRIS and ATS.
  • Comfortable presenting to both small and large groups.
  • Proven ability to build meaningful interpersonal relationships across various functions and communities.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated capacity to influence and gain credibility with employees and customers at all levels.
  • Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer and client service, showcasing initiative, leadership, and management skills.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as required by business needs.
  • Comfortable operating in a matrix leadership environment.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
