  • Identify, coordinate, and implement design modifications aligned with departmental priorities such as simplification, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and enhance manufacturing processes, workflows, tooling, testing methods, and procedures, including the layout of production facilities.
  • Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of hardware.
  • Manage the introduction and implementation of new products and revisions.
  • Interface with internal and external fabrication, automation, and materials teams to achieve production objectives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in fabrication, assembly, testing, or project management through internships, labs, clubs, extracurricular activities, or professional experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment with daily interactions among technicians, engineers, and managers.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing techniques, processes, and equipment such as machining, brazing, welding, forming, and structural assembly.
  • Understanding of testing methods, setups, and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience in generating, reading, and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Expertise in design for manufacturability (DFM) with a proven track record of guiding products through development, testing, and production.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment while striving for continuous improvement.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work directly with hardware.
  • Comfortable with physical tasks such as stooping, bending, and standing.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
  • Flexibility in working hours to align with production and launch schedules.
