About the Role

As a Customer Specialist at CarMax, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by guiding customers through every step of their car-buying journey. This includes providing support during sales, facilitating appraisals, and ensuring a seamless process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by building rapport with customers and understanding their needs
  • Conduct vehicle condition assessments to ensure accurate appraisals
  • Check in and receive vehicles, complete daily scanning and reconciliation of inventory
  • Perform cosmetic inspections to ensure vehicles meet CarMax Quality Standards
  • Manage administrative duties, including printing reports, maintaining paperwork, and contacting finance companies
  • Create service appointments and review repair order invoices for retail service work

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Sales and customer service experience, preferably in retail
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
