At the University of Miami, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Interventional Radiology Level II. This exciting opportunity is based in Plantation, Florida.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Interventional Radiology department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Core Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop individualized care plans, ensuring timely documentation and effective communication with healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other staff members to evaluate patient responses, modify treatment plans as necessary, and coordinate patient care.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, providing clear instructions and education on post-procedure care.
  • Evaluate diagnostic tests and reports, making informed decisions about patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Nurture a compassionate environment by offering emotional support to patients and families, promoting a positive experience throughout their hospital stay.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicate patient plans and progress to relevant team members, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal care.
  • Safely operate medical equipment, maintain a safe working environment, and adhere to University policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse License and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Interventional Radiology or a related field.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care methods, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, and generous paid time off.
