About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Park Industries. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading technical projects, providing mechanical design leadership, and managing project schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Project Leadership: Oversee all technical aspects of projects, guiding cross-functional teams to develop innovative designs that meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Mechanical Design Leadership: Take charge of mechanical design and analysis, focusing on machine structures, gearboxes, rails, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics to engineer cutting-edge solutions.
  • Project Management: Manage project schedules, budgets, product costs, and other critical metrics, ensuring projects align with business objectives and timelines.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Foster a culture of collaboration through regular concept and design reviews, encouraging input from all stakeholders to drive creativity and excellence.
  • Technical Support and Training: Provide expert guidance and training to customer service, field installation, and sales teams, and resolve customer issues with precision and expertise.
  • Leadership of People: Lead and mentor a small team of engineering associates, providing direction, support, and development opportunities. Cultivate a positive and productive work environment, promote teamwork, and ensure the team's alignment with the company's goals and values.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in design and engineering, with at least 8 years in leadership roles.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in analysis and root cause investigation tools, including simulations, FEA, free-body diagrams, DFMEA, and 8D methodologies.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in CNC or robotic equipment design, is preferred.
