Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing instructional and behavioral support to students referred to in-school suspension by the school principal or assistant principal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized behavioral plans to support students in achieving academic and behavioral goals.
  • Provide instructional support to students in a small group setting, focusing on areas such as literacy, mathematics, and life skills.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure student success.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and involve them in the support process.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or two years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours) from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of experience working with urban and/or disadvantaged youth.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Experience working in a school setting or with students with behavioral challenges.
