Position Highlights:

In the capacity of a Records Management Clerk, your primary duties will involve safeguarding the integrity of GCIC and NCIC databases, managing police documentation, and delivering outstanding service to our community. This role demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and update GCIC and NCIC databases, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.
  • Handle and organize police reports, citations, warrants, and various law enforcement records.
  • Conduct thorough background investigations, criminal history assessments, and record inquiries.
  • Provide assistance and information to the public, law enforcement personnel, and other agencies.
  • Perform general clerical and administrative tasks as required.
  • Support the Municipal Court Department with cash bond processing.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Minimum of two years of clerical experience or five years of administrative experience.
  • Proficient data entry skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must obtain and maintain GCIC Basic Operator and NCIC Basic Operator certifications within six months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Terminal Agency Coordinator.
  • Experience within a law enforcement setting.
  • Associate's degree in information management, business administration, or a related field.

Work Schedule:

This role requires shift work, including nights and weekends, to accommodate a 24/7 operational environment.

Compensation and Benefits:
