Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled individual to manage the service operations of our branch's Service Department. This position requires overseeing a team of technicians to ensure effective and profitable service delivery. The Service Manager will be responsible for maintaining operational workflows, which includes scheduling repairs, assigning tasks, and prioritizing work while efficiently managing ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct the daily functions of the Service Department.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Delegate assignments to technicians based on their expertise and current workload.
  • Optimize resource utilization to maximize productivity and profitability.
  • Monitor ongoing work to ensure timely repair completions.
  • Establish and uphold quality control measures to maintain service excellence.
  • Promote a culture of safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Build and sustain relationships with essential stakeholders, including clients and suppliers.
  • Compile and review reports on departmental performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing service departments, ideally within a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated success in training, scheduling, and overseeing field technicians.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical operations and equipment repair.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team motivation and development.
  • Proficient in relevant computer systems and software for service operations.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
