Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for several talented individuals to join our Solar Team in Albany, New York. The Solar Operations Leader will serve as a mentor and guide in key areas such as sales, quality assurance, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and field team management. This role is responsible for overseeing solar operations by assessing and refining business processes to guarantee optimal efficiency. The Operations Leader will manage residential solar projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that we surpass our customers' expectations while delivering every project punctually and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage team members, resources, and processes to successfully complete a high volume of residential and small commercial solar projects to client specifications.
  • Develop, oversee, and report on essential revenue and margin metrics.
  • Leverage available data to enhance customer account targeting.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all contractual obligations for residential and commercial projects across various sectors.
  • Ensure sales alignment to maximize the effectiveness of the sales team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the successful execution of key projects and identify opportunities for ongoing process enhancements.
  • Evaluate efficiencies and manage field team leaders to maintain effective customer communication and optimize field team performance.
  • Identify, document, and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Foster a positive and hands-on culture while addressing issues that may arise during the design, permitting, and installation phases.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in sales operations and management, preferably within the industry or a similar field.
  • Proven analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Ability to be a flexible and innovative team player with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems.
