Imec, a world-renowned research center in nanotechnology, is seeking a highly skilled Chip Manufacturing Support Engineer to join its team in Leuven, Belgium.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented engineer with a Master's degree in electronics or equivalent experience to coordinate and interface between chip manufacturing plants and our customers. As a Chip Manufacturing Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire process of tape-out of custom chips designed by our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check and guarantee the quality of chips designed by our international customers based on documentation provided by manufacturing plants and knowledge gained from the team and past projects.
  • Prepare chip design for fabrication at foundries and assist customers with final sign-off ('go' for fabrication) using advanced CAD software programs.
  • Have technical discussions with customers to guide them in the sign-off process and provide required foundry information and documentation.
  • Follow up on projects from start to end and ensure all project milestones are met.
  • Assist the sales team in technical discussions and have technical discussions with production plants that manufacture these chips.

Requirements
