Manufacturing Process Developer

Position Purpose:
The Manufacturing Engineer II will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes for the building, testing, and delivery of spacecraft and spacecraft components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own production execution for a single Spacecraft or Component Product Line, responsible for meeting on-time delivery.
- Provide hands-on support for manufacturing and test technicians.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for non-conforming product, troubleshoot and investigate failures to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Create mechanical and electrical assembly instructions, focusing on standardizing across projects and products while streamlining workflow of hardware through needed work centers.
- Design fixturing and tooling to aid manufacturing.
- Understand in-house business systems, including Configuration Data Management tools, Manufacturing Execution System, MRP, manufacturing shop floor control, and internal status reporting.
Requirements:
- BS or AAS degree in an Engineering field or equivalent discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in at least one core product area: Electronics, Mechanical/Machining, Optics, RF, or Spacecraft Integration.
- Proficiency with interpreting technical engineering drawings, bills of material, and technical documents, including test and integration procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written communication skills, oral presentation skills, and an ability to lead group discussions with both internal and external customers.
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
