At American Water Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Business Development to join our Military Services Group. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of business opportunities within the Department of Defense's Utilities Privatization program and other areas of federal government business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of business opportunities in the Utilities Privatization program and other areas of federal government business development.
- Develop and implement legislative and policy initiatives to support the company's growth objectives.
- Manage the company's processes for identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
- Manage consultants utilized by the Military Services Group to assist in the development of business opportunities.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of work experience in the DoD's Utility Privatization program.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Knowledgeable and current in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs), and federal policy as they apply to UP and federal energy contracts.
