Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are in search of a qualified individual to oversee our Customer Service and Field Services Division. In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with external clients to ensure that contracts related to Astronautics' products and services are executed effectively, meeting all customer requirements. The ideal candidate will coordinate with various internal teams, including Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance, while maintaining communication with clients. You will be responsible for supervising, managing, and directing teams involved in the installation, servicing, and warranty of Astronautics products both domestically and internationally.

This position operates in a hybrid model, primarily based at our Headquarters. You will report directly to the Director of Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse team comprising both on-site and remote personnel.
  • Manage an international team of aviation-specialized technicians.
  • Engage with clients daily regarding program performance, timelines, and contract obligations.
  • Create schedules for complex development and upgrade projects utilizing Microsoft Project, Excel, or Word for the Executive Team and/or Clients.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, with the ability to adapt and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Distribute daily tasks after reviewing Engineering Orders and Drawings/Schematics.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for personnel, work centers, and aircraft.
  • Oversee logistics from procurement to shipping, including receipt and inventory management at client facilities.
  • Manage updates to documentation, including Engineering Orders, Drawings, Schematics, and Reports, and validate weekly against the Master Data List (MDL).
  • Compile and organize Airworthiness documentation for client delivery.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or aeronautical services from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance management or quality assurance.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Exceptional verbal and technical writing communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project).
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills; capable of adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to obtain a United States Passport.

Preferred:

  • Experience in military aircraft maintenance management or quality assurance.
  • Possession of an FAA – Airframe and PowerPlant (A&P) license.
  • Experience with military or civilian aircraft avionics at the O/I level.
