Position Overview:
We are in search of an Engineering Project Lead. In this capacity, you will serve as the technical authority overseeing the design of both new and existing products. You will guide multidisciplinary engineering teams focused on the design and production of state-of-the-art avionics products. You will act as the technical liaison both internally and with our clients, which include some of the most recognized airframe manufacturers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a diverse engineering team, consisting of electrical, mechanical, software, systems, and certification engineers.
- Conduct project-level design reviews throughout the development process, including planning, architecture, implementation, verification, and certification.
- Propose and oversee the design of new products, enhancements, and technological updates to ensure alignment with market demands and product roadmaps.
- Direct the technical team in pursuing new business opportunities.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for current and prospective clients.
- Collaborate with program management to plan and execute project schedules and budgets.
- Monitor and communicate project progress to management and clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in electronics product development.
- At least 2 years of experience in engineering leadership.
- Proven experience in planning and executing engineering development projects, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in engineering leadership roles.
- Experience managing projects using formal project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Background in the design of avionics or other safety-critical systems.
- Experience in a safety-critical industry (e.g., Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Device).
- Familiarity with ARP-4754, DO-160, DO-254, or DO-178 standards.
