Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Barista to join our team at Georgetown University. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving specialty beverages, assisting with food preparation, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and specialty beverages to high standards
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all guests
  • Operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Count, organize, and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip, and make deposits
  • Adhere to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures
  • Set up and break down coffee bar, stations, or store, including cleaning and sanitizing
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
  • Stock beverage coolers, grab-and-go items, service ware, and condiments
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
Requirements
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Previous experience as a barista preferred
  • Basic math and counting skills required
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to follow required dress code as assigned
  • Able to read and communicate in English and able to follow recipes
  • Complete Food Handling Certification as required
