Position Overview

The Electrical Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial performance and comprehensive management of designated projects. This position entails budget management, procurement processes, and the coordination of essential authorizations and schematics for project execution. We seek a proactive and motivated individual who is eager to engage with the team and contribute to our collective success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the company representative in communications with staff, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Support business growth by developing proposals and leveraging existing relationships to secure new projects.
  • Manage intricate, cost-driven schedules utilizing Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Prepare financial budgets, detailed take-offs, and competitive estimates for electrical construction endeavors.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather quotes and verify contract accuracy.
  • Strategically plan and manage awarded projects over time, creating budgets and processing monthly invoices.
  • Facilitate project initiation meetings and regular staff meetings to ensure project success and adherence to safety standards.
  • Oversee subcontract agreements, purchase order procedures, and vendor billing.
  • Maintain and disseminate project documentation, manage and update drawings, and enforce safety regulations.
  • Conduct root cause analyses, manage Requests for Information (RFIs), and implement contract modifications.
  • Ensure timely and precise project closure documentation and conduct final site inspections and closure meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 9 to 11 years of pertinent experience in project management within the construction sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Electrical Project Management.
  • Proficient in estimating software with strong leadership, management, and planning capabilities.
  • Skilled in MS Office applications with excellent organizational, planning, and administrative skills.
  • Exhibit a high level of diplomacy, sound judgment, and discretion in interactions with clients and staff.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working independently with strong decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Detail-oriented with a robust work ethic and professional demeanor.
  • Creative problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Commitment to achieving organizational objectives and fostering a positive, team-oriented culture.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based work, with regular requirements to sit for extended periods, input data on a computer, and communicate via telephone.
  • Occasional travel to local job sites may be necessary.
  • Regularly required to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements, and to manipulate objects, including pushing and reaching.
  • Must be capable of occasionally lifting objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Fieldwork may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and construction site hazards.
