Role Summary:
As a Museum Project Coordinator at Unrivaled, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing intricate projects, including museums and permanent exhibits. You will offer engineering solutions, specify materials, and manage the production timeline, budget, and deliverables—ensuring that each project achieves success, even when confronted with unique challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver engineering solutions, material specifications, and advice on construction techniques, hardware, and electrical/lighting specifications.
  • Steer projects through their timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain adaptable and evolving production schedules and project budgets.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of work orders, ensuring accuracy, intended outcomes, execution, and quality assurance.
  • Create and manage change orders, maintaining organized and thorough documentation.
  • Facilitate meetings with project teams, serving as the primary information liaison among all team members.
  • Build and manage a robust external vendor network.
  • Oversee external vendors, providing drawings, ensuring quality, and managing output and schedules.
  • Travel as necessary for on-site inspections and supervision.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, production management, or as a producer.
  • Extensive knowledge of the museum industry.
  • Experience with woodworking and metal fabrication.
  • Strong engineering/technical skills, with the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Familiarity with standard fabrication tools, techniques, and blueprint reading.
  • Proven ability to build and manage a network of vendors; experience in wood, metal, or fabrication is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Ability to lead and inspire project teams to achieve client goals.
  • Experience managing budgets and change order processes.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Teamwork, and various project management software and techniques.
  • Ability to multitask and solve problems efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk suite programs is highly desirable.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel for client presentations, site surveys, and installations.
