Key Responsibilities:

Execute a diverse range of general upkeep tasks encompassing facility management, machinery diagnostics, and proactive maintenance. Utilize expertise in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and metalworking to accomplish designated job assignments. Carry out maintenance activities with a strong emphasis on safety protocols and best practices.

Oversee the installation, repair, and upkeep of machinery and mechanical systems through the completion of scheduled maintenance.

  • Identify the root causes of issues by monitoring mechanical equipment in operation.
  • Dismantle machinery and replace defective components as necessary.
  • Assess the requirements for parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
  • Manage inventories of equipment parts and supplies by reviewing stock levels and placing orders.
  • Educate production personnel on routine preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Deliver mechanical maintenance insights by responding to inquiries and requests.
  • Compile maintenance reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • An Associate's Degree in Technology, a Technical Certificate, or Military Maintenance/Technical Experience with a minimum of 4 years of relevant practical experience OR at least 7 years of relevant practical experience without formal training or degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in machinery troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record for occasional operation of company vehicles.
  • Capability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance, which is available to US Citizens.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certification in electrical work or a Journeyman's Certificate.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and robotics.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70: National Electrical Code & NFPA 70E: Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
  • OSHA training.
  • Experience operating forklifts and aerial lifts.
  • Welding skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A history of making informed decisions and demonstrating initiative.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Basic plumbing and carpentry skills.
  • Experience with common tools of the trade, including but not limited to digital multimeters, pipe threaders, table saws, and drill presses.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems ranging from 120V to 480V, including machine control circuitry.
  • Familiarity with facility maintenance practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically capable of performing all maintenance tasks, including the ability to climb, work beneath machinery, and navigate confined spaces.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Normal color vision and manual dexterity.
