Reports To: Loan Review Manager

Role Summary:
The Credit Analyst is responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of individuals or organizations to evaluate the risks associated with lending. This includes conducting loan assessments, preparing credit analyses for the loan committee, and performing annual credit reviews. The role involves drafting loan summaries and recommendations for loan officers and committees, all while adhering to the Bank's Culture Playbook, which emphasizes our core beliefs, behaviors, and desired outcomes to ensure a high-quality, legally compliant product.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting from an accredited institution, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Evaluate credit data and financial statements to assess the risk of lending.
  • For businesses, benchmark against similar entities regarding liquidity, profitability, and credit history.
  • Develop spreadsheets, reports, and summaries to inform lenders about new, renewed, and existing loans.
  • Address customer inquiries and verify transactions through consultation.
  • Identify delinquent accounts by reviewing customer files.
  • Ensure completeness of credit files, identify documentation gaps, and report for timely resolution.
  • Assist clients with loan modifications and pay-offs.
  • Review loan files to maintain quality, consistency, and compliance with lending standards.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections as necessary.
