Business Development Representative Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Development Representative to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to promote Sysco's products and services, build relationships with new and existing accounts, and drive profitable sales growth.

About the Role:

This outside sales position requires developing new business, penetrating existing accounts, and minimizing lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and special objectives within assigned territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching customer business needs, developing product and service mixes to meet those needs, and providing value-added services to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new business opportunities and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth and special objectives.
  • Research customer business needs and develop product and service mixes to meet those needs.
  • Provide value-added services to customers, including market trend analysis and product recommendations.
  • Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, company meetings, and other business-related activities.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and clients.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related discipline. Alternatively, you can have a HSD/GED and 3 years of restaurant management, B2B, or outside sales experience, or equivalent relatable experience. Bi-lingual skills and restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience are preferred.

You will also need a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and current automobile insurance with liability limits of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident. Additionally, you must be willing to submit to pre-employment testing (drug screen, background check) and sign Sysco's Protective Covenants Agreement.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
