Our client is a prominent entity in the energy sector, looking for an experienced professional to take on the role of Chief Accounting Officer.

Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
As the Chief Accounting Officer, your duties will include:
- Managing all accounting functions within the organization, encompassing billing, financial reporting, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition.
- Collaborating with external auditors to resolve audit issues, ensure compliance, and prepare annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other necessary schedules.
- Guaranteeing adherence to all SEC reporting requirements, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings.
- Establishing, executing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
- Leading the company's financial planning and budgeting initiatives.
- Creating and overseeing financial controls aligned with the organization's policies.
- Communicating financial performance metrics to senior management and the board.
- Managing relationships with insurance providers and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Supervising the company’s transaction processing systems.
Candidate Qualifications:
To qualify for the Chief Accounting Officer role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; an MBA or Master's degree in Accounting is highly preferred.
- An active CPA certification.
- A minimum of 5 years in a senior finance or accounting role, ideally within the energy sector.
- Experience in public accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to work with external auditors and manage SEC reporting.
- Strong understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including GAAP.
- Experience with public company transformations (IPO).
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
- Capability to analyze financial data and generate financial reports, statements, and forecasts.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
