Job Summary:

The Environmental Health Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the business strategy of the Global Environmental, Health and Safety programs at Graham Packaging Company. This role will assist the Corporate EHS team in identifying impacts of business changes to EHS, identifying successful business tools and applications, tracking and measuring success to promote value-added services to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
Assist site management in executing Environmental, Health & Safety priorities, metrics, goals and requirements.
Establish and enhance site EHS programs that support global EHS initiatives & expectations.
Provide EHS technical guidance and support to site management to ensure compliance with EHS regulatory requirements.
Keep management apprised of EHS progress and significant developments on key site projects.

Requirements:

A Bachelors Degree and/or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. A minimum of 5 years Environment, Health, and Safety experience in manufacturing preferred.
