Job Title: Outside Sales Account Manager

Join Airgas, a leading industrial gas company, as an Outside Sales Account Manager and drive profitable sales growth within an assigned sales territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales plans to service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts.
  • Qualify and pursue sales leads, cultivating customer relationships by developing a deep knowledge of the customer's business.
  • Engage customers by linking their business priorities to the Airgas value proposition, preparing sales proposals, and quoting pricing.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry insights, Airgas product mixes, and competition, gathering relevant marketplace intelligence.
  • Partner with internal resources to accomplish growth objectives, maintaining clear communication with internal departments.
  • Manage existing customer Accounts Receivable balances to minimize Airgas working capital investment and financial risk.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of prior outside business-to-business sales experience, with proven success in solution-selling concepts and customer management.
  • Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases, industrial gas/welding supply sales a plus.
  • Proven success using a consultative sales approach, providing multiple layers of value to customers.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite applications.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Reliable transportation, current driver's license, and minimum liability insurance.
  • Frequent local and regional travel (50-60% of work time); minimal overnight travel.
