Job Title: General Manager

Marugame Udon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our restaurant team. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, including managing employees, maintaining high standards of food quality and service, and ensuring a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of employees to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Oversee the inventory and ordering of food, beverages, and supplies to optimize profits and ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to Marugame Udon's high standards regarding food preparation, cleaning, and sanitation.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, responding to complaints and taking corrective action to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
  • Manage shifts, including daily decision-making, scheduling, and planning, while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees are equipped to provide exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of success in managing employees, maintaining high standards of food quality and service, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and minimize costs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to lift and carry bags and cases of up to 40 lbs, up to 20 times per shift.
