F-35 Specialty Engineering Integrated Product Team Manager

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly experienced and skilled F-35 Specialty Engineering Integrated Product Team Manager to lead our team in the development and production of the F-35 aircraft. As a key member of our Chief Engineering organization, you will be responsible for managing cross-functional engineering teams and ensuring the successful execution of our engineering and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage F-35 Specialty Engineering functions, including Materials & Processes, Low Observable, Thermal Analysis, Mass Properties, Durability and Damage Tolerance, System Safety, Standard Parts, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
  • Ensure Production and Engineering products are executed to sound Sector, Division, and Program Engineering Processes & Tools.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, approval, and execution of affordable engineering and/or related engineering change proposals (ECPs).
  • Facilitate and execute our Specification review board process for configuration control.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 9 years of related engineering experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of related engineering experience.
  • 5 years of previous technical management experience leading teams of engineers.
  • Experience developing aircraft systems and ability to demonstrate basic concept knowledge.
  • Familiarity with leading technical proposals and ability to lead customers through technical content reviews.
  • Must have prior experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) using Earned Value Management Techniques (EVMS).
  • Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time, as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience on F-35 Program Air Vehicle Teams.
  • Background in M&P and/or Structural Analysis/DaDT preferred.
  • Previous experience leading Air Vehicle Development for new or existing Military Aircraft Platforms.
  • Previous experience leading Materials & Processes, Low Observable technology areas, and/or Specialty Analysis Teams (DaDT, Thermal, EEE) on Military platforms.
  • Understanding of Design Engineering/Computer-aided Design (CAD) and engineering releases processes utilizing Product Lifecycle Management tools.
  • Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team, or cost account manager.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high-value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of ITAR, International Licensing Requirements, and procedures.
